Sheet pan meals are always a lifesaver—easy to prep, minimal cleanup, and delicious every time. This Spice-Crusted Salmon served with roasted potatoes and a homemade tartar sauce brings restaurant-quality flavors right to your table. A crispy, spice-infused crust perfectly complements tender salmon, and roasted potatoes round out this hassle-free, flavorful meal.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 salmon filets (salmon or your choice of steelhead trout)
  • 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for cooking)

Tartar Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup pickles, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp capers, roughly chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Preparation:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika, then place them cut-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Roast for about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and olive oil in a small bowl to create a paste. Brush this mixture evenly onto each salmon filet.

After the potatoes have roasted for 20 minutes, add salmon to the pan. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes.

Turn on your oven broiler for 3-5 minutes to achieve a crispy finish on both salmon and potatoes.

Combine mayonnaise, dill, pickles, capers, salt, and lemon juice to prepare the tartar sauce. Mix well.

Serve salmon hot alongside roasted potatoes and the delicious homemade tartar sauce.

Enjoy this delightful, healthy, and easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions!
